A joint heat pump initiative is currently underway in the Sønderborg area for residents outside the district heating network. The initiative brings homeowners together to secure a shared offer on individual heat pumps and thereby achieve volume discounts from suppliers.
Interest has been high, with more than 200 participants registered.
If you have signed up for one of the rounds, you will receive updates directly by email as your process progresses.
The heat pump initiative is being carried out in two rounds, each with more than 100 participants.
Local village associations, ProjectZero, and the independent advisory company Transition have hosted information meetings for both rounds, and registration has now closed.
The purpose of the project is for you, as a participant, to receive an individual offer with a volume discount, which you are free to accept or decline. If you choose to proceed, you will enter into an agreement directly with the supplier.
FAQ
Can I take part in the joint offer?
No, unfortunately not. Registration is now closed.
However, you can still switch to a heat pump – and even receive a record-high subsidy of DKK 27,000 through SparEnergi’s heat pump grant scheme:
How do I stay updated on the process?
The village associations will keep the villages informed about the process, and if you have filled in an expression of interest, you will also receive an email from ProjectZero when there are updates.
How much can I save?
How big a discount can we expect from the joint purchase?
Heat pump suppliers find it difficult to give a concrete answer about discounts without knowing the homes involved and the number of households. However, the more households that join in requesting a joint offer, the better the terms are likely to be. The discount may take the form of a percentage reduction, but it could also be a discount on service or installation. As soon as we know more about the size of the discount, we will share the details.

I have a gas boiler – can I save anything on disconnection?
If you have a gas boiler, you can make use of the disconnection scheme. This covers the fee that would otherwise apply when disconnecting from the gas supply.
How do I avoid noise disturbances?
With SparEnergi’s noise calculator, you can see where to place your heat pump in the best possible way to avoid noise issues. See the noise calculator here:
What requirements will be set for the heat pumps?
Will there be requirements regarding quality and operational reliability?
The independent advisor (Transition) will ensure, as part of the tender process, that heat pump suppliers address the requirements and criteria set by homeowners—for example regarding noise levels, technical specifications, refrigerants, and similar factors. Warranty and service agreements will also be included in the tender.
Will there be requirements regarding the country of production of the heat pumps?
As a general rule, no requirements are set regarding the brand’s country of origin—only technical requirements apply. However, European and Japanese brands are typically used. If homeowners wish, a requirement can be included that only, for example, European brands are considered.
Can requirements be set to use local installers for the installation?
If this is a wish from the homeowners, it can be included in the tender’s requirements and preferences.
